Christopher Gahan
Christopher Gahan is the head of Northwestern Mutual's Washington, DC government relations office. He leads a team of staff and outside consultants and is in charge of defending the interests of Northwestern Mutual – one of the largest life insurers in the country – in our nation’s capital.
Before joining Northwestern Mutual in early 2017, Christopher worked on Capitol Hill for nearly 15 years. He served as chief of staff for Senator Pat Toomey from Pennsylvania as well as chief of staff for Senator Judd Gregg from New Hampshire. Christopher also practiced corporate law and handled government relations at Latham & Watkins LLP.
A New England native, Christopher grew up in New Hampshire, received his undergraduate degree in biology from Brown University, and earned his law degree at Harvard Law School. He currently is a board member of the Wisconsin Group and is active in philathropy work for the Alzheimer’s Association.
